The student hears a chord progression and
• must choose between one of the answers shown, or:
• place the steps (or chord symbols) in the correct order.

Set by the teacher in the Harmony module:


(1) Type of question/display; choice of:
• Multiple-choice steps
• Multiple-choice chord symbols
• Dictation steps
• Dictation chord symbols
(2) Tempo (20-120 bpm).
(3) Instrument being played with: piano, guitar or harp.
(4) Keep player’s instrument? Yes/No.
• Yes: if the player’s setting is guitar, piano or harp this will be maintained. Otherwise, the instrument set at (3).
• No: the instrument set at (3) is used anyway.
(5) Mode: major/minor.
(6) Accidentals: sharps/flats
(7) Key: choose by selecting a key.

Click on “New progression.


By default, a progression of two step I chords in the selected key (7) appears.

(10) Click + for next chord (I).
(11) Delete this chord progression.
(8) Choose step (I to VII).
The correct notes are automatically selected and placed in a proper position.
(9) If necessary, click on the pen symbol:
adjust the position and notes by selecting or deselecting keys. The chord symbol will be adjusted automatically:


• In this way, make multiple progressions so that the student (depending on (1)) must guess the correct one or compile that particular progression.
• The app will play the progressions in random order.

Set answer options:


(12) Number of answer options for multiple choice (2 through 5).
(13) Number of questions in this module at this Level.
(14) If set to Yes, the player must have answered the number of questions (13) correctly. A minimum percentage correct can also be specified here.
