How can we start the next school year with ‘clean’ classes?

At the beginning of a new school year, it is often desirable for Earz classes to be ’empty’, so you can make a fresh start in the Student Tracking System. Fortunately, this is done automatically* and the teacher/institution does not have to do anything for this!

*The administrator can enable or disable this feature on the administration settings page.

The procedure is as follows:
• At the beginning of August, the students are automatically disconnected from the class of the previous school year. The number of users for the school year is therefore automatically set to 0.
• The standard ‘as of date’ in the Student Tracking System is set on 1 August of the current calendar year, as a result of which previously achieved results will in principle not be shown.
Note: by manually changing this date -in Extended search-, earlier results can still be viewed if necessary!

At the start of the new school year:
• if setting = ‘Free’ login by students is allowed:
students are forced to choose a (new) class the first time they log in.
• if setting = Login with fixed usernames per class:
manually, pupils must be added to the classes.
Please note: do not create these new classes until you see the ‘from date’ in Extended search in the Student Tracking System on 1 August of the current calendar year! If necessary, you can already prepare by creating groups of students in a text or spreadsheet file and copying them later from here.
