Bulk import (of students and teachers)

Importing students

Student accounts, provided with e-mail address and class, can be imported – as a csv file – in bulk.
Precondition: On the administration page, Login with fixed user names per class or Both ways of logging in are allowed must be selected!

This Import button is then visible on the Students page:

Click on it so you see this:

Click on example to download a sample CSV and then fill it in:

• Note: Do not modify the top line (with name, email, team)!!!
• Change the “example” students and adjust:
(1) student’s name
(2) student’s email address
(3) class of the student (N.B. if a class does not already exist, it will be created)

• Save the completed file (as .csv) and import it into Earz (see above).

• After importing:
– the relevant students automatically receive an email with their login details and can log in with it.
– students appear in the Student Tracking System only after they have logged in and scored points!

Importing teachers

Teachers’ accounts can be imported – as a csv file – in bulk by the administrator.

The Import button is visible on the Teachers’ page/Settings/Teachers:

Click on example to download a sample CSV and then fill it in:

• Note: do not modify the top line (with name, email etc.)!!!
• Change the “example” teachers and adjust:
(1) teacher’s name
(2) teacher’s email address
(3) class the teacher has access to
For the following: 0=not 1=yes
(4) admin = teacher is/is not administrator
(5) editor = teacher is allowed to/not allowed to edit locked games
(6) create_folder = a folder in “our games” will/will not be automatically created for the teacher
(7) can_manage_teams = teacher is allowed to/not allowed to create own classes.

• Save the completed file (as .csv) and import it into Earz (see above).

• After importing, the relevant teachers automatically receive an email with their login details and can use this to log in.
